Corfu has the most beautiful beaches in the Ionian Islands. There is a full variety of beaches all over the island. The most of them had turned to resorts with many accommodations, bars, restaurants e.t.c. Corfu also has the most beaches in Greece with the award of the blue flag.

Blue flag is a award from the European Union and guaranties the cleanliness of the beach, also the beach that has a blue flag must have toilets, telephone, lifeguard and some other things.

Agios Georgios is located 30 Km south of Corfu, is the one of the most beautiful beaches and one of the few beaches that is not near a village.

Agios Gordis is just below of the center of the west coast af the island. This beach is sandy and is one of the most popular beaches of Corfu. Also you can admire the view because is surrounded by impressive rocky formations witch are created by the time.

Agios Stefanos is located 40 Km NW of the Corfu town. This beach is also sandy and it’s a very safe beach because its protected from the winds.

Paleokastritsa maybe is one of the most popular beaches because of the famous village. The waters are very cold all the year because underground sweet waters are pour into the sea.

Myrtiotisa is located at the west coast of Corfu and its near the Beaches of Glyfada and Pelekas. This beach has taken its name from the monastery which is above the beach, this beach unofficially is a nudist beach.

Barbati is very near of the Corfu town only 20 Km away. This beach is very organized and also has a blue flag.

Ermones is a very popular beach. This beach is also organized and has a blue flag. There you can sea a cable car which takes the residents of the hotel up and down because the beach is at the the bottom of a very steep rock face.

Glyfada is located at the west coast of Corfu and its near the beaches of Myrtiotisa and Pelekas. Glyfada is the most well known beach of Corfu. Also is the most cosmopolitan beach Of Corfu many Celebrities choose this beach. This beach its covered with sand.Also has a blue flag.

Roda is located 30 Km noth of the Corfu town. Roda used to be a fishing harbor but at the late years has became a very touristic place with many restaurants, bars and many accommodation options.

Arillas is located 30 Km north of the Corfu town. This beach is a very long sandy beach also organized and very popular.
